HCCA’s Consumer Representatives Program (CRP) recruits, trains and supports consumer representatives on health related committees, advisory groups, or boards.
Training and supporting consumer representatives is one of our core activities. We support consumer representatives to ensure effective consumer input into designing and delivering better health services that can meet individual consumer’s needs, and respects diversity.
The CRP promotes open communication between the health sector and the broader community and supports partnership and collaboration between consumers, health services and all levels of government.
The CRP has a reputation for providing strong, committed and effective consumer representation. It is an important way for us to achieve our objectives of equity in health care delivery so all people can achieve their best health outcomes.
You can find information in this section on current opportunities to become a consumer representative, and resources to support existing consumer representatives in their role.
