HCCA prides itself on providing a credible consumer voice in research. We do this through primary research into the consumer experience in health care in the ACT and nationally and through participating in research being undertaken by universities, research institutions, community groups, government and service providers.

We recognise that reorientating health services to meet consumer needs and achieving our mission of better health outcomes through consumer empowerment, requires strong attention and input into health and medical research and changes to education and training of health professionals.
