World Antibiotic Awareness Week 13 - 19 November

HCCA would like to help bring awareness to the worldwide epidemic of antibiotic resistance. Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria adapts and becomes resistant to antibiotics. This occurs naturally but the misuse of antibiotics is causing the rate of resistance to accelerate. Antibiotic resistance can mean that infections that are treatable now may not be treatable in the future. This can affect anyone, regardless of age or nationality.

It is important to use antibiotics responsibly so that everyone can continue to benefit from this precious resource . To learn more about antibiotic resistance and World Antibiotic Awareness week, click here

Our newsletter is published fortnightly and these are available on our website.
